That philosophy has also been used effectively to assist a variety of clients in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

In short, we consider you our partner. We are committed to helping you reach your goals. And we treat each opportunity to work together not as an assignment, but as the beginning of a productive and enduring relationship.

STEVE JANACK

Principal

Throughout his career, Steve Janack has demonstrated a unique ability to develop and frame a creative message; conceive and execute an innovative strategy; and most importantly, to deliver results, from heightened visibility to transforming public opinion. He has proven expertise in high tech and higher education, and is equally adept at developing, shaping and implementing strategies to assist clients in the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

As Vice President for Marketing and Communications at the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) in Albany, a $20 billion education, technology and economic development powerhouse, he was instrumental in developing and executing the communications strategy that helped position New York as the global epicenter for nanotechnology.

Previously, as Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce, he was recognized for his communications leadership as a leading architect of the Capital Region’s transformation to Tech Valley. And, as Vice President at Behan Communications, he launched and led the firm’s first-ever Technology and Innovation Practice Group.

A native New Yorker, Janack began his career as a television and radio journalist. Over 15 years, he served as a news writer, producer, reporter, and anchor, and in management positions as assignment manager, news director and program director. He also produced and hosted two long-running television programs – “NanoNow” on Fox23 News and “Tech Valley Report” on Time Warner Cable – which were broadcast in hundreds of thousands of homes and featured interviews with leading executives in technology, business, education and government.

Janack holds a B.A. in Communications/Journalism from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son; is an avid golfer, runner and New York Mets fan; and drives his Porsche Boxster with the top down whenever possible.
